muffler question about my cavalier?

Hey, i have a 98 cavalier 5spd std, my muffler is totally gone, so i went and bought a magnaflow universal muffler, now I'm not sure if i really want to put it on, i want a nice sound.. but how ricey will that actually be? its not a fart can, its a deeper low sounding tone.
