What does Total Time Air Frame mean?

Total time Airframe (TTAF) is commonly used to determine the mechanical age of the aircraft, similar to mileage on a car. Airframe time is also used to determine when the aircraft needs to have maintenance or service checks and inspections.
TTAF can be determined in one of several ways... On piston engine aircraft equipped with hour meters (Hobbs meters), the airframe time is the total time indicated on the meter, which is actually the time the engine(s) are running, and includes engine idling and taxi time.
Commercial aircraft can log "Block time" which is the time the aircraft taxi's out of the gate, to the time it returns to the gate, or actual flight time, which is counted from when the wheels lift off the runway to the time the wheels touch down again.
