Will this surge supressor work in China?
I want to bring this to China and I'm wondering if it will work or if I need a voltage converter (or a different surge suppressor).
On the back it says:
125 VAC, 15 amp, 60 hz
Transient suppressed
Voltage 330V
I'm not sure what all that means.
A second question is, since it wont have the Chinese profile plug I will have to use an adapter. Does the adapter render the surge protector ineffective?
It's for my computer.
China uses 220V 50Hz supply for line voltage, so your surge suppressor is not designed to be used in China.
Adapter doesn't render surge protector ineffective. The only purpose of the surge protector is to offer you regulated voltage, whatever you do with the output doesn't matter.
