The dismissal of Achsa Kamara should not be celebrated and should not be seen as any good for Sierra Leoneans. This is just one of the steps of the APC towards the goal; staying in power come 2012. There might be a planned assignment for him and it is a question of time. So those political pundits who think there is a break in marriage between Acha and President Koroma are not following the political strategies of the APC. If you recall in 2007 when the SLPP office was attacked and vandalised, it was Acha Kamara who justify the action of the APC youths by saying that it was an 'operation pay yourself'. No arrests were made and it was swept under the carpet. This pronouncement was necessary for the APC considering the strategic position of Acha as Inspector General of Police at that point in time.The second attack on the same opposition party headquarter by again youths was never prosecuted because the police under Acha failed to do so. In other parts of the country, Sierra Leoneans are aware of gross human rights violations with impunity and sometimes supervised by the police as in the case of Bo, Pujehun in the south, Tongo and Kono in the east. Has there ever been a condemnation from the president in all of the activities above? The answers are no and remember he is the commander in chief of the armed forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone. Acha has done a lot and the president think he now deserve some other appointment where he can now demonstrate his loyalty putting the general good of Sierra Leone aside.
Francis Munu is Acha trained. He has acted in that capacity on several occasions in the absence of Acha. I have no doubt in his capacity to do a good job. But what I know when it comes to African politics, is how many of us like the Turad Senesies' who resigned from the Sierra Leone police force knowing fully well that the policies of Acha were never in the interest of the rank and file of the police and the ordinary Sierra Leoneans. Can Munu resign his position if he doesn't fill independent in the execution of his duties? Sierra Leoneans are waiting to see how the next three months of policing dispensation will look like.
But the argument here is this. Sierra Leone is going through a dispensation similar to the dispensation of Rwanda before the 1994 Genocide. This might seem very blunt and I think it is but appropriate that these facts are place on the table for Sierra Leoneans to remind themselves of the past and the present. Rwanda before 1994 was characterised by tribal and regional identities where people get close to power or live an average life base on their tribal or regional affiliation. Selective justice was the order of the day, all in an effort to ensure that the Hutus had a solid grip on power. The end result was the 1994 massacre that left a whole state in total ruin. Is there much difference between the then Rwanda situation and what is presently going on in Sierra Leone? We bring this cross country analysis to the attention of our leaders for one simple reason. That the Physical, Legal, Economic and Social reconstruction of the state is in the hands of the leaders at a point in time when they are in power and they can be held accountable for their actions no matter how long it takes. This is enshrined in the UN Charter/Conventions and Protocols. Any society conscious of IDENTITIES ( tribal and regional ) as a result of the actions of its leaders, is putting in place mechanisms for constructive chaos that might lead to Genocide. I always have this to say to my friends, that the Second World War ended in 1945. But as we speak, people are giving accounts of their actions during that era, when they are suppose to be playing with their grandchildren. The actions of Acha and other state actors, nobody can tell might be compiled on a daily basis by some non - state actors, to be made reference to some day, some where for appropriate actions.
If the leaders of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party fills they cannot be held accountable for the actions of the APC, they are missing the point. They are part of governance and have a responsibility to catalogue the gross human rights violations and crimes committed by members of the executive and file in a legal suit at both national and international levels. Is there not enough justification for the prosecution of Acha and others in the APC for justifying the actions of criminals (operation pay yourself and alleged rape cases) when they are in custody of the law? Is there not enough justification for taking ‘class suit' against the minister of education for misrepresenting academics at national and international level? What was wrong taking I.B Kargbo to court for the very first statement made by him that the northerners struggled with the APC and are the people that are suppose to get APC appointments. Is that not an incitement for a regional divide and chaos? All of these and many more are there with no actions. The salvation is a choice of a robust political leadership come 2012.

Also (just found), Earthlink has an office in that same building in Pasadena. I couldn't find a general number there, only the numbers of specific individuals. I won't post them here but you could try calling Earthlink's main number (you can find it on the web) and ask them for a contact number for the Pasadena office. Then call there and *politely* ask them if the trust company has an office in that building and if they have a contact number. Be courteous, as you;ll be asking them for a huge favor and they don't have to help you.
