Do hermit crabs need full spectrum lighting?

I have hermit crabs right now- three of them- and my heat mat isn't giving enough heat for them. The temperature is around 65-70ºF, which is way too cold. Two of my three hermit crabs are burrowing, and I just recently got them (like a couple days ago). I have a screen lid, and I use plastic wrap and a piece of fleece to keep the humidity in. The humidity is from 75-80%.

1) How can I get more heat to my tank?
2) Could I just use a reptile lamp and use a regular 25 watt bulb?
3) Do hermit crabs need full spectrum lighting?
4) Any other suggestions?

you can add more heat by adding a second heater on the side of the tank like this:

i have an under tank heater and i added this one to the side and it keeps the tank at 80 degrees ...

you could use a reptile light bulb ... i have one over my other tank and while it does give off heat, it is not enough to heat your tank ...

hermit crabs do not need bright light but do need a day night cycle ... but that can be naturally occurring ...

i would suggest you heat them up soon cuz below 72 degrees they can go dormant and if that temperature remains they will die ... the building i live in turned the heat off for 13 hours and one tank when to 62 degrees resulting in three dead crabs ... your crabs may have burrowed nearer to the undertank heater to warm up or they may be destressing ... when i set up my 20 gallon tank with an undertank heater it took three days for the tank to be 80 degrees and it has maintained 80 degrees since ... good luck with your crabs :O)
