Carpet Maintenance Critical For Maintaining the Appearance of Your Home
There is no place like home for most of us, but some of us may have looked over some minor details such as carpet maintenance, which makes everything on it a disaster, we can cover up some nasty stains and patches of the soap solutions but sooner or later we will have to confront what is our carpet, unhindered uncovered just a plain old carpet where you can sit and play with your kids no displaced rugs, no clutter, no mess. Here are the simple steps we can take to make our house feel like no other place.
First and foremost if you have kids, pets and more than three people living in a house, try and keep the hand or any vacuum handy to and at least vacuum once a day. The common culprits that multiply are dust mites, dead skin, hair shedding, crumbs you name it will sneak its way on the carpet somehow, no matter how careful you are, 5 day worth of collection will not only show but also can give you skin allergies, air allergens and not so much of a happy feeling if you are a clean person and would like to see your surroundings clean.
Second, dust your furniture weekly and vacuum the dust right after if it lands on your carpet.
Thirdly, something I personally dislike is pestering the visitors to keep the shoe off the carpet, but it has to be done, it may feel bad but a reasonable person would understand, it keeps germs from all around off of your carpet, hey we can bleach or Lysol the floor if shoes are at the foyer or the tile area but not the carpets.
Fourth, invest into a steam cleaner or get it professionally cleaned once a year, I like to have my own steam cleaner to take care of cleaning the messes as and when it happens but it is a personal choice.
So, few simple steps and a good steam cleaner gets you and your home together, where you get to be who you are. The list of things that I can only do on a carpet is endless but here are a few. Help your toddler learning to walk, pets love sitting on a carpet around you, meditation, exercise, stretching, playing monopoly near the fire place, laying on the floor and watching the ceiling and slipping into the wonderland, too many guests and not enough furniture around the TV. Simple things few steps to be happy aren't that what life is all about? All day spent at work, business, wherever you maybe home is where you are you and it reflects your personality, so start with simple steps and rest will follow.

Best way to clean wood laminate (Pergo) floors?
My floors have a residue build up on them (I assume from all of the cleaning products that I have tried)! No matter what I use, the floors end up streaky with a residue (bad enough that you see EVERY footprint in them)! I have tried the cleaner that the floor company makes for these floors, Armstrong Floor Cleaner, Bleach, Amonia, Pine Sol, Plain Water, Lysol Floor Cleaner, and Mr. Clean!!! Even my professional housekeepers can't get these floors lookin' good! I am at my wits end and I will try ANYTHING!!!! Please help!!!
