Do I have what it takes to get into Cal Poly?
I want to go to either Cal Poly SLO or Cal Poly Pomona. I have a 3.5 CSU GPA, with a total 1360 SAT score. I have a lot of extracurriculars (Badminton, Dragon Boat, Key Club, Link Crew). I have about 60+ community service hours. I want to major in Mechanical Engineering.
Should I rush my December 2008 SAT I scores to Cal Poly SLO? There score reports were due December 1, but I took them on December 6, and I know for a fact that I'm going to have a higher score than 1360. Will they still accept my Dec 2008 SAT Scores?
They will still accept your scores, and there is no need to rush them, assuming you selected those colleges to receive your scores when you registered (you get 4 free and you can change them up to a week after the test date).
I think you have what it takes for Pomona, SLO is a little bit more of a toss up because of the competitiveness in the engineering field at that school.
