Purchasing Tungsten Carbide Wedding Bands

One of the most important decisions if you decide to marry is will be about your ring. In the last few decades, platinum, silver, white gold and gold have been used in wedding bands. But at this time the selection of metals is broader reflecting the change in our lifestyle and tastes.

Tungsten carbide wedding bands are one of the new metal from which jewelry designers have begun to craft wedding band rings, offers a variety of designs and styles that match every budget and taste. Tungsten carbide is a very hard and dense metal, with the highest melting point of all metals 6,100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Course, tungsten is vulnerable to scratches and damage such as other metal, then the advantage of very hard by the combination with carbon alloy, the transformation to the tungsten carbide, with the violence between 8.5 and 9.5 on the Mohs scale of violence.

The strength of tungsten carbide wedding bands have made it widely used for decades in industrial applications – it is four times harder than titanium, twice as hard as steel and almost impossible to scratch. Metal produced can be designed into wedding band that are both visually stunning to please the eye and durable enough to withstand everyday use.

These rings can only be damaged through extreme measures, like abrasion from diamonds or being hit with a hammer. Just make sure you ask your jeweler which metal is used in the process of finishing or binding. A lot of manufacturers of tungsten carbide wedding bands use cobalt as a binder, mostly because it is cheaper to produce.

The problem with cobalt is that it bonds with the oil in the skin and leeches out of the ring so that the oxidation. The oxidation appears similar to tarnished sliver, but cannot be removed by grinding or polishing. A better choice is nickel-binder tungsten carbide which is chemically inert, will not oxidize and because it is hypoallergenic, there is no danger of irritation to the skin.

Be careful about dealing with a jeweler who does not specify that their tungsten carbide wedding bands are made with the nickel binder alloy. A lot of jewelry stores do not know which alloy they are selling and if they do not know it is most likely cobalt alloy or pure tungsten, which lacks the hardness of tungsten carbide and are easily scratched.

Because of tungsten carbide extreme hard, wedding bands made of metal can not be sized like silver, gold or platinum rings. When you're ready to buy, make sure you take extra care in determining the appropriate size. In the case to engraving a tungsten carbide ring, it is possible, but the results will be very faint and difficult to read.

Finally, because of your tungsten carbide wedding bands is not indestructible, it makes sense to get insurance, particularly against damage. Under normal usage there should be little or no wear on the Polish and textures of your tungsten carbide wedding band ring and you will not need to use the warranty.

Which is the bigger fan of the Jonas Brothers?

A girl answered one of my questions saying she was the real number one fan, she has fainted at all the concerts she went to, she can't see her walls because they are covered, she owns all the c.d.s, she has seen camp rock 30 times and the concert 3 times and she talked to him. Well I just want to say one thing, I can't see my walls or ceiling or floor because they are covered with posters. I have been to concerts and actually fainted at each and every one of them. I own every c.d. I have seen the concert movie 212 times. I have seen camp rock over 100 times. I have Jonas brothers real face books. I am a platinum member of the fan club. I know every song by heart. I bought the c.d.s but i also bought the songs on i tunes. All of my binders for school have their faces on them. I have been listening to the c.d. who i am for 48 hours straight. Now who is the bigger fan? The first girl or me?

Well i'm obsessive with the jonas brothers too but thats crazy awesome!
