Plastic Surgery: One Part of the Personal Enhancement Whole
Life Stage Personal Enhancement is about maintaining your personal best at any age. That means being smart not just about plastic surgery options, but also about nutrition and style.

I'd like to take the opportunity in this newsletter to talk about Life Stage Personal Enhancement - the achievement of healthy and natural beauty through a gradual program of cosmetic procedures -- in a way that reaches beyond the procedures and services I offer in my practice.
Being one's best has to do with the way one looks, of course, but it also has to do with the way one feels. The way one feels, in turn, has to do with more than outside physical appearances. It has to do with one's personal style - the way one dresses and carries one's self - and, of course, with one's overall nutrition program.
That's why I'm so happy to be associated with two amazing professionals whose unique expertise blends superbly with my own philosophies about Life Stage Personal Enhancement - and that can help my patients achieve their own new levels of personal best.
Brooke Alpert, MS,RD,CDN, is the founder of B Nutritious and a world-renowned nutrition expert. She received her Masters of Science at New York University and completed her training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in affiliation with NYU. She's a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater New York Dietetic Association, the Weight Management Group, the Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists Dietetic Practice Group and the Women's Health and Reproductive Nutrition Group.
Given that level of experience, it's no surprise that Brooke has been featured and quoted in numerous international and domestic magazines, websites and television, including W Magazine, People Magazine and the Tyra Banks Show. Brooke is an advisor for Nivea and worked on the Goodbye Cellulite Challenge. She is a volunteer dietitian for The American Heart Association and works with a variety of charities across the country.
Jacqui Stafford is the Executive Style Director of Shape, for which she pens the popular monthly fashion advice column, In the Dressing Room with Jacqui. She's recognized in the fashion industry as the "real woman" makeover expert and often lends her style expertise to national programs such as Today, Good Morning America, The Tyra Banks Show, The View, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Fox News, 20/20 and CNN as well as VH1 and E!
Jacqui has hundreds of fashion and style makeovers to her credit, and has lent her style and fashion trend expertise to the pages of Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Latina and Lucky. She's also the face and on-camera representative of Eyes By Design, an exclusive-to-HSN color cosmetics brand she created in collaboration with one of the Estee Lauder Companies.
As you can see, these are two truly amazing women, and I'm honored to be working with them to bring my patients a complete and customized program for maximizing their cosmetic enhancement results. Because modern-day plastic surgery is no longer about going in, getting a nip/tuck and calling it a day. It's about small procedures and services that allow one to feel and look better.
Consider, for example, a woman who undergoes liposuction. After the procedure, she can meet with Brooke to create a customized nutritional strategy designed to meet her nutritional goals and maintain her new figure. About the Author
Dr. Robert T. Grant is Plastic Surgeon-in-Chief for the combined Divisions of Plastic Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, the University Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell, a position he has held since April of 2006. Board-certified in general surgery and plastic surgery, Dr. Grant is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
After receiving his MD degree from Albany Medical College, Dr. Grant chose to specialize in plastic surgery and completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

He is included in the annual Castle-Connolly Guide of America's Cosmetic Surgeons and Dentists and has been named to New York Magazine's list of Best Doctors in New York.

Plastic Canvas Magazines?
I used to receive several Plastic Canvas magazines. A couple went out of print, and the last one (Annie's Plastic Canvas Magazine) is now changing into a crochet-based magazine.
Does anyone know of any Plastic Canvas magazines that are still active/in print?
Thank you for the links -- however, what I'm really trying to find is an actual subscription based magazine (i.e. that I would get in the mail on a monthly or semi-monthly basis). Anyone know of one?
