Along with the right back up strings, a few of your favorite picks, a rock solid gig bag , and you favorite effects pedals, no set up is complete without the perfect guitar strap. Besides your actual guitar of choice, your strap is by far the most identifiable persona marker while performing. Just look at the number of searches on-line after the super bowl for "Bruce Springsteen honcho guitar strap". When you are rockin with a kick ass guitar strap, people take notice. That being said. What type is your type.
Why not go personalized. Generally, personalized differs from customized when it comes to straps. Although you are doing similar things by making you strap unique, personalization refers to putting you name or insignia on your strap using a variety of different methods. Some of those methods include leather personalization, embossing, using studs, using glitter (for the ladies of course), or sublimation if you are using a vinyl guitar strap. Leather : does the leather that's used in shoes, clothes, furniture etc come from cows that are eaten?
Like (most?) people I'm totally against fur coats because breeeding animals just for their skin is way out of my personal set of values.
But it occurs to me that I do wear leather shoes and have a leather jacket, but I don't knoiw if this leather comes from an animal "just bred for its skin"? I have no problem personally with eating meat and wearing leather if it comes from animals killed for their meat.

Short awnser yes. I used to work in a slaughter plant and the Hide is used for almost anything. Depending on the market. But for the most part a majority of shoes are not real leather.Once the hides are cured they are sent mostly used for furiture or clothing. Unless you are rich and like real leather shoes. I wouldnt put to much thougt into it. Its not like your walking around with 2 dead baby chinchilas on your feet. happy tree hugging.
