Please Help! What is the best technique for lifting a heavy full size (sheet) decorated cake out of the box...?

I know a full size cake will be pretty heavy. I do not want want to drop it while taking it out.
I know that you can flatten the bottom box and take it apart, but should you have 2 or 3 people
there to help so it can be lifted out?
I thought of an exacto knife to cut it, but we may need the bottom box.
Is it acceptable to leave it in the box?
I think it will not make a proper presentation.

have an easy technique, as to minimize
the chance of bumping the cake or upsetting it.
I am thinking 3 ppl.
2 ppl. to hold up the cake and 1 person to slide out the flattened bottom box.
A lot of ppl. can carry 35# not everyone can do it so well as to not damage the cake.
I would cut around the cake close enough to the cake and leave the cake on this foundation. I almost dropped a cake like this cause the center started to cave in. No one will see that you left the box under the cake if you cut close enough. Better safe than sorry. I am not a good gambler---are you? PS if you have a decorative plate then cut around the cake. Place it on the plate then gently slip the box out from beneath. God Luck!
