Organizing Your Closet By Properly Hanging Your Clothes
Organizing your closet allows you to get the most storage space from the least amount of room. There are several components of organizing your closet, but the most basic is to properly hang your clothes. If your clothes are not hanging properly in your closet, they can take up more room and you may have trouble finding anything that you are looking for.
There are several steps to developing an organized closet. Although it does not all have to be done in one day, once you start you may want to finish up relatively quickly. If not, any organization you gain can be lost by trying to dress everyday with your clothing scattered around the bedroom.
1. Empty your closet. Remove everything from your closet and spread it out. Your bed or a couch is a good place to store everything until you are ready to place them back into the closet. Your objective is to see exactly what you have.
2. Remove anything that is outdated, or something that you no longer need. This should significantly reduce the size of your wardrobe. Resist temptation to place everything back in your closet at this point. Once you realize how much you have gotten rid of, it may seem like you are organized, and the job is completed. It is important to continue the job that you have started.
3. Take all of your off-season clothes, fold them neatly, and store them in plastic storage containers. These containers can slide under your bed, go in the attic, or be stored in an outbuilding. The important thing is to keep them out of the closet.
4. Hang up the clothes that are left. This is where you really see the benefits of your organization. Choose the correct supplies to hang your clothes and you can gain a tremendous amount of storage space. You may even decide that you need to go shopping.
Finding the right tools for hanging your clothing is an important part of the organization process. There are so many different types of hangers available that it can be complicated to choose which hangers work best in each situation. While some people like to have matching hangers in their closets, this is likely to create less room. Using hangers specifically designed for particular items is the best way to make the most efficient use of your closet space.
You may find some types of hangers beneficial when organizing your closet:
Slim line hangers. These are extremely thin hangers. They are good for hanging up shirts of all types. Their slim design means that you can hang twice as many of these hangers in the same amount of space as a traditional hanger.
Heavy wood hangers - These sturdy hangers are great for heavier items, such as winter coats. They take up a good bit of room in the closet, so only use them for items that need the additional support.
Skirt and slack hangers - These hangers are perfect for hanging up multiple pairs of slacks or skirts. They have several swinging arms so that on each hanger you can place four or five skirts or pairs of slacks.
Tie and belt hangers - These hangers allow you to hang many ties, belts, or scarves from one hanger. Every closet should have one of these. Not only does it allow you to keep your scarves, ties and belts looking crisp, but it also allows you to store them all in an extraordinarily small amount of space.
There are items other than hangers that you can add to your closet to increase storage space and help with organization. Investing in some of these items can help greatly in your fight for organization. The organizational tools that will work best for you are determined by the type of items you need to store.
Some things to consider are:
Hooks for the back of the closet door - This provides a handy spot to hang a bathrobe or a pair of jeans you plan to wear again.
Baskets and bins - If you prefer to keep your underwear, socks and stocking in the closet, these items provide you with an easy way to keep the items organized and easy to reach.
Shelf dividers - If you do not have any room for storage in your bedroom, shelf dividers allow you to stack sweaters, t-shirts and other items on shelves in your closet.
By combining the correct types of hangers with additional storage tools, organizing your closet is a straightforward process. You may find that your well-organized closet is incentive enough to maintain. If you have trouble keeping it tidy, remember to return things to their place immediately. If you take the time to put your laundry away as soon as it comes from the dryer, maintaining your organized closet should become much easier.

Wasn't it Iraq where all the terrorist were hanging out at? And where is Bin Ladden?
Now it's Pakastan.
Terrorists weren't in Iraq until we destablized it. Radicals have always been in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. This adminsitration gave up looking for Bin Laden years ago.
