Gestetner Dsc-428 - High Resolution Color Copy Machine
While many industrial strength copy machines focus entirely on speed and fall behind when it comes to quality, the Gestetner DSc-428 is the exception to the rule and offers high resolution print quality for crystal clear imagery and graphics at a high speed with large paper output. With a solid core unit offering a wide range of valuable, user friendly features, as well as a huge assortment of hardware accessories, the DSc-428 comes ready for customization to match perfectly any work load demand set.
Operating at print speed of 28 pages per minute in black and white, and 24 pages per minute in color, the Gestetner DSc-428 is one of the fastest machines on the market, especially when dealing in full color prints. If even more print speed is required, Gestetner also offers upgraded versions of the unit with faster output: the Gestetner DSc-435, and the Gestetner DSc-445 which offer 35 page per minute and 45 page per minute speeds respectively, and only slight drops for color printing.
When maximum quality outweighs speed in importance, the Gestetner DSc-428 also offers a high resolution mode selectable up to 1200 x 1200 dots per inch. Copy resolution remains at only 600 dots per inch and scanning does as well, meaning only laser printing projects can obtain high resolution.
A maximum copy size of 11 x 17 inches (full bleed on 12 x 18 inches) means that not only letter and legal sized paper can be scanned, but oversized documents as well, and even three dimensional objects such as books, or full magazine spreads. The Gestetner DSc-428 also supports up to 11 x 17 inch output so reproductions will match originals, in monochrome or full color.
Though the Gestetner DSc-428's warm up time is substantial, clocking in somewhere around 99 seconds, once warmed up the first copy times are quick, with an 8 second time to first copy for black and white, and only 10 seconds for full color. The upgraded models have reduced first copy times as well as increased print speed.
Multiple copies can be made in quantities of up to 999, making total output virtually unlimited, as paper handling specifications are very high as well. Two standard 500 sheets trays come stock with the Gestetner DSc-428, as well as a 100 sheet bypass tray for media such as envelopes, card stock, and transparencies. Standard output capacity is 500 sheets, plus a 100 sheet face up output tray but, when a multi tray finisher is incorporated into the hardware, output capacity gets an enormous boost up to 2,600 sheets.
Input storage can also be upgraded via a single 500 sheet paper bank, or a dual 2 x 500 sheet paper bank. A large capacity tray is also optional and carries 2 tandem trays worth 1,000 sheets each, bringing the Gestetner DSc-428's total potential input capacity to an impressive 3,100 sheets. With a wide range of additional hardware such as a booklet finisher and multi bin, among others, the Gestetner DSc-428 proves itself as one of the most versatile machines around, and a welcome addition to any office.
