A Look Around The New Samsung Galaxy Tab
The demand for tablet devices has recently boomed following the release of Apples iPad, however there are very few models actually available. Although many more models are in the pipeline, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab look well equipped to meet the majority of consumers demands thanks to some very high specification and modern styling.
The Galaxy Tab runs the latest 2.2 version of the Android operating system, and at present in the only UK tablet running on this system, however it will certainly be joined by others given the popularity and versatility of the platform on mobile phone devices. The unit offers Flash support which is a big advantage over its Apple rival given how many web pages incorporate this material. Wireless tethering is also possible. Out of the box the Galaxy has a large number of applications pre installed. One of the most impressive was the voice search option, which accurately recognised voice phrases and offers the facility to not only search the web but also across your selection of applications. E Mail facilities are vital on this type of device, and the model comes with G Mail already installed, however there is of course the option of installing your preferred services , and synchronisation with Exchange, Pop3 and Imap accounts is also possible. With regards to the composition of E mails, the Galaxy benefits from Samsung excellent Swype text input method. This system recognises word you are attempting to type without you needing to press each key individually. You can simply run your finger across the screen to achieve the desired results and surprisingly the method is incredibly accurate.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will draw obvious comparisons to the iPad, which is understandable given that they are the two major tablet devices currently available. The Samsung models is certainly the smaller of the two machines, with a screen that is 2.7 inches less at 7 inches, and at 380 grammes the weight is nearly half. This works in Samsungs favour as the iPad just felt a tad on the large size for portable use. The Galaxy Tab can display a high quality resolution of 600 x 1024 and display a mammoth 16 million colours. The result is that graphics look superb, and viewing your own recorded media looks particularly great. Thanks to the 3.15 mega pixel rear camera, a good standard of still shot can be achieved, even in poor llight conditions thanks to the LED flash. 720P video footage can also be filmed, offering you your home movies in incredible high definition. The unit has 16GB of internal memory and the option to extend this by up to a further 32GB thanks to a micro SD card slot being available. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is perhaps the most versatile tablet we have encountered to date, with the fact that it runs on Android working hugely in its favour.

how would I do that for other scales? I'm not understanding how to spread out the scales across the guitar like that.
Well E minor pentatonic has the notes E, G, A, B, and D in it. Those notes just keep repeating in different octaves as you move across the neck.
There are many different types of scale fingerings. All of them have a unique quality about them, which makes them useful for different types of licks. A few common methods are position shapes, 3 note per string shapes, and 4 note per string shapes. I have a method of combining 3 and 4 note per string shapes that I use, but not a lot of people do it.
I recommend working on 3 note per string shapes first, as those are quite common. Just learn what notes are in the scale, then start playing it. Change strings every 3 notes.
For example, F major. Play F G A on the low E, then Bb C D on the A, then E F G on the D, A Bb C on the G, and so on. It's easy.
