Arcontia expanding product line release ARC2330 smart card reader
ARCONTIA is a contactless smart card readers and terminals Swedish manufacturer, recently announced the launch of the latest smart card reader ARC2330. This marks the Arcontia's new smart card reader product line has entered the electronic ticketing and electronic payment market.
ARC2330 is a solid and reliable reader Intelligent ISO / IEC 14443 reader, smart cards can be used for identification, travel card, contactless payments and retail recharge. The target reader of the future is through system integrators and solution providers to integrate with various payment system and payment system. The reader is equipped with four different colors of LED lights and a buzzer, and the LCM graphic display to use as the user interface.

Readers need to work with the host, USB or RS232 can be connected with the host to complete a variety of smart card applications. why is wal-mart starting to sell "yuppie products"? isn't it kind of the wrong market segment?
I've noticed that Wal-Mart is starting to sell things like smoked salmon and shitake mushrooms and soy milk and lots of other kind of fancy foods that used to be more associated with yuppies and upscale urban markets.
Is this a strategy to broaden their customer base to include yuppies? (or wannabe yuppies?)
Or is this simply a sign that Joe Sixpack's palate is expanding to include new items that used to be considered yuppie but are now considered mainstream?
Walmart has made a great effort over the past 2 years to get the yuppie crowd to shop in their stores, and to a certain extent, it's working. Things like smoked salmon and shiitake mushrooms are likely to keep the yuppies coming back, since it'll save them a trip to another food outlet.
Walmart's big challenge has been to get the yuppies to cross the aisle...go over to the general merchandise side. Even with a few more upscale items on the shelves, they are having a hard time beating the perception (in some people's minds) that their merchandise is inferior.
