Can a sketchbox easel be used to hold a sketch pad and be a good surface to draw on instead of painting?
I am looking to get back into drawing, but I have no space for a full size drawing table. I was thinking about buying a sketchbox easel, like this one from Dick Blick http://www.dickblick.com/products/bamboo-french-sketchbox-easel/ to save space and still have a surface to draw on.
I would like some opinions on if this would work for holding a sketch pad and be a comfortable surface to draw on. Please let me know what you think.

I suppose it would hold your sketch book securely. But whether it would be comfortable is another story. I need my work at a table and tilted back for my comfort. I guess it all depends on the person . If you can draw comfortably at an easel then I don't see why it shouldn't work for you.By the looks of the easel thought it looks to be more for painting rather then drawing. It's all up to you.
