Duo Edge

Dell Inspiron Duo Review
The first thing you notice about Dell's Inspiron Duo is that it stands out in the crowd. That's because of it's interesting innovative flip design, that lets the switch from netbook to tablet to happen in a few seconds. Younger users will find this tablet netbook more enjoyable, because Dell's engineers paid special attention to providing great experience when dealing with videos, games, music, or photos, and connecting to social networks.
But first, lets look at the bad sides. That cool-looking HD screen with multi-touch technology can appear blurry when you look at it from different vertical angles. Some slots are missing (like VGA and SD), but you can get them by getting a Speaker dock, which can be handy. Inspiron Duo is slightly heavier than competion's models, but nothing to worry about. Duo Stage interface, designed to make navigation to some key applications can be a little slow, but once you get used to it, you wont notice it. It's biggest disadvantage is it's short battery life, which lasts up to 4 hours. If that isn't crucial for you, than look at the good sides of Dell's tablet netbook.
The multi-touch (10,1 inch, 1366x768 resolution) flipping screen is not just in HD (which is great), but is also very sensitive and responsive. Duo stage interface makes it easier to access music, videos, photos, games, and to connect to social networks, which we found quite enjoyable. You can quickly turn the screen into a digital photo frame, or an ebook reader. Another good quality of Inspiron Duo is the very nice working keyboard and touchpad (that supports multi-touch). And we should not forget to mention rubberized bottom and edges, which can be very helpful when it's not used at home.
Other characteristics include Intel Dual core Atom N550 processor with 1,5GHz speed; that it comes with Windows 7 Home Premium; 2GB of RAM; 1.3 Megapixels webcam and microphone; up to 320GB of hard disk space; Wireless (802.11g/b/n) and Bluetooth (3.0) connections; 2 USB slots; and dimensions of 11.22''x1.03''x7.66''.
So, is Dell Inspiron Duo the right netbook tablet for you?
Well, despite a few weaknesses, if you value great desing, if you like playing games, or watching videos, listening to music or viewing photos, reading an ebook, or conneting to social networks anywhere you are, than YES.

PANTECH DUO 2 questions?
what are the LATEST and MOST RECENT updates on this phone? i have been wanting a duo for a while now, and i recently heard about the pantech duo 2. I saw the picture of the design, but have pictures of the phone itself been released yet? if not, when will they? and when will the phone itself be released? unfortunately, im not at all a fan of the rounded edges resembling the helio ocean, but if i could see the phone itself, i'll be able to make my decision. i loved the first one, i just hope that the only changes from the 1st to the 2nd are positive ones or improvements/updates.
thanks.
and i would like an educated answer please. nothing that cant be backed up.
once again, thanks.
Is it likely to be released before Christmas?
it should be released around christmas time. before or after? that, cant tell ya. pantech sometimes will fall behind. there are no pictures available for the public. there have been many upgrades from the original Duo. such as GPS, a better camera, and updated bluetooth jus to name a few. it will run on windows 6.1, which is wayyyyyy better than 6.0. and i think the price on the original duo is coming down soon. so look out for that as well.
