Has anyone had experience with using self-stick vinyl tiles to cover a kitchen counter and cabinet fronts?
I would like to know how functional this use is (how well it holds up), how to install it for best results, and any other pertinent information.
I personally have used them to cover an old desk (computer desk) as it was looking a bit tired and that was two years ago and they still look great and in vgc. However a kitchen counter will have hot plates put on it etc, and that will not work out. They can resist say a hot coffee mug, but saucepans for example will either burn the surface or in time it will just bubble up. Water will also get in the joints however tight, and your counter will be left sticky and sick when you take them off. Cabinets - yes, kitchen counter no.
