Two RockfordFosgate 12' subwoofers/how to install them?
I have 1997 ford contour and i dont have any sound system installed except for the one that came with the car. Im wondering what I need to support two 12' rockford fosgate subwoofers? like wat kind of car amp, how many watts, wat kind of in-dash cd changer, etc.
Well, all I can help you with is this: for purchasing an amp you want to look at the RMS rating for the amp and match it with your subs. You need to match the impedance with your subs too. For instance if your subs each have an impedance of 4 ohms then you want an amp that can handle a 4ohm load depending on your wiring options. What I would do is if you find the correct amp and if you don't have much knowledge on how to wire everything take it to a professional and have then wire it up. It will save you a lot of time and extra work. For the in-dash cd player you really can get w/e you want it doesn't really matter. if you have it installed professionally they will tune your amp to match ur cd player.
