Basic Principles When Printing Inserts
Printing inserts is one of the most cost effective ways of marketing one's business. When printing inserts, it is not as expensive as custom printing, and you don't even need to go to a custom printer to get them reproduced. You can print inserts yourself. Printing inserts is unlike custom printing or the standard way of reproducing your common company documents. Inserts should be treated just like a special project; hence, it should be given care when printing them. When printing inserts, great care should be provided to the printing options as well as the dimensions. Because the correct inserts can go a long way in creating effective marketing materials that can get you the results you want.
Here are some of the general and basic tips to create color inserts that look professional and attractive to your target clients.
Consider the right size.
Size is very important when printing your inserts. Don't print it too large that it goes beyond that of the marketing collateral where you are going to place it in. Don't make it too small either that your inserts appear to be insignificant that your target clients consider it junk or throw it in the garbage right away. The basic rule when choosing the size is to keep it at ¾ to ½ smaller than the material you are going to insert it to. Consider when you need to use full color.
It is generally better to apply full color if you want to attract attention right away. But in most cases, inserts don't need full color printing especially if you're working on a tight budget.
